Programme overview

From manual G-code to CAM-assisted programming, this course builds machinists who can set up, program and run CNC turning and milling centres to drawing tolerance.

What you will be able to do

  • Write and edit G-code for turning and milling operations
  • Set work and tool offsets accurately
  • Apply GD&T to inspection and setup decisions
  • Select tooling, speeds and feeds for a given material
  • Diagnose and correct dimensional errors

Assessment

Continuous practical assessment, a written examination and a final competency test.
